More than a dozen local museums will offer free admission in August during “New Orleans Museum Month.” Guests can take advantage of this summer steal as long as you’re a member at a participating institution.
The promotion includes a mix of major art museums and cultural landmarks throughout the greater New Orleans area. Some of the notable locations include the National WWI Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Contemporary Arts Center, National WWII Museum and Longue Vue House and Gardens.
New Orleans Museum Month lasts through August. If you’re not currently a member of a participating museum, this might be a good time to consider trying it out.
Visit the websites of participating locations for membership pricing.
August also kicks off the month-long Coolinary dining promotion offering prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at some of the city’s top restaurants.
