Here’s a look at some restaurants in the New Orleans area offering Valentine’s Day menus or specials:
Arnaud’s Restaurant: Make Valentine’s Day special with Arnaud’s “Celebrate Love” menu featuring themed appetizers and cocktails. This menu is available during dinner from Feb. 14 to Feb. 18. The limited offerings include specialty cocktails with options like a Chocolate Old Fashioned and a Raspberry Beret. Speciality appetizers include chargrilled oysters, gulf shrimp and a chocolate hazelnut tart. Menu pricing ranges from $7.95 to $12.95 for appetizers and $9 to $25 for cocktails.
Briquette: Make a dinner date at this Warehouse District eatery offering a $90 three-course dinner for two in addition to the regular menu. The meal includes a salad as an appetizer. The main course offers a choice of Blackened Redfish served with grilled gulf shrimp, fried green tomatoes, fresh arugula and citrus butter or New York Strip Marchand de Vin served with a baked sweetheart potato and baby green beans. Enjoy bananas foster bread pudding as a dessert.
Cafe Sbisa: Enjoy a three-course menu with entree choices of a seafood platter or cochon de lait.
Commander’s Palace: Bring your friends on Valentine’s Day for “The Big Smooch Double Date Deal!” Parties of four receive a round of complimentary cocktails.
The Country Club: The Bywater spot offers a $65 three-course dinner for two. The Valentine’s Day special includes a choice of salad or bisque, an 18 oz. chateaubriand for two and a chocolate cake for two. The restaurant will also offer diners an a la carte menu.
Curio: Slide to this French Quarter spot for a Valentine’s Prix Fixe dinner from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17. The three- course meal is $38 per person.
Creole Queen: Take your romance to the river aboard the Creole Queen. Dance the night away to live music while enjoying an upscale buffet, open bar and complimentary champagne. Cruising time is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the cost is $129 per person.
Dakota Restaurant: The Covington restaurant offers a special four-course Valentine’s Day a la carte menu. The menu features delectable items like aphrodisiac oyster patty, truffle-parmesan risotto, brown butter-seared grouper, bananas foster and lemon pudding cake.
Del Porto Ristorante: This contemporary Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Covington offers a four-course Valentine’s Day menu for $75 per seat. Entrees include paneed chicken, blackened grilled drum and grilled berkshire pork chop.
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse: A three-course prix-fixe menu awaits Valentine’s Day diners at Dickie Brennan’s with options like 6 oz. Louisiana Wagyu Fillet, shrimp and lobster or Chateaubriand for two.
DTB: This popular Oak Street eatery offers Valentine’s Day-inspired a la carte dishes on Feb. 14 only. The special menu includes starters like clab claw rilette and gulf shrimp terrine, entrees like seared diver scallops and duck sausage stuffed quail and ice cream cake as dessert.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar: Metairie newcomer, Fleming’s, offers their “kind of a grand romantic gesture.” Diners can join them for a prix fixe menu from Feb. 9 to Feb. 18. The four-course meal ranges from $79 to $95 per person.
Fogo de Chao: Dine at Brazilian Steakhouse, Fogo de Chao, between Feb. 10 to Feb. 17 to receive a complimentary dining card. The card is valid for a complimentary lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch with an equal purchase. See the link for complete details.
Gabrielle Restaurant: Gabrielle Restaurant offers Valentine’s Day guests a four-course, prix-fixe menu for $60 per person (plus tax, gratiuity, beverages). Some entree selections include baked whole boneless flounder, pan-fried striped bass, filet of beef with fried oysters and a slow roasted duck.
Hooter’s: Hooter’s targets the anti-Valentine’s Day crowd. If you want to “shred your ex,” then this is your spot. Receive 10 free boneless wings when you buy any 10 wings.
Josephine Estelle: Ace Hotel’s flagship restaurant, Josephine Estelle has a four-course, prix fixe menu for $98 per person consisting of roasted sunchoke soup, campanelle, beef tenderloin and pistachio financier.
La Provence: Enjoy a Valentine’s Day celebration at this North Shore restaurant offering a four-course menu for $130 per couple. Some menu items include crab gratin, beef tartare, blue crab bisque, grilled hanger steak, truffle and scallop risotto and creme brulee.
Public Service: This restaurant located inside the NOPSI Hotel will serve a special four-course prix fixe menu. Finish the night with a complimentary glass of champagne and a chocolate dipped strawberry.
Seaworthy: Seaworthy invites guests to book a cozy corner for their three-course $70 prix-fixe menu, including dishes such as beef short rib, butter poached lobster and roasted black grouper. For an additional $30, guests can add on the Seafood Plateau including oysters, blue crab claws, poached shrimp and all the fixings.
Semolina: The Metairie restaurant all about pasta offers a $20 add-on special for Valentine’s Day diners. From Feb. 14 to Feb. 18, diners can add on six strawberries served with Chantilly creme and a Ruffino Prosecco Split.
The Grill Room: Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Windsor Court Hotel’s Grill Room with a special menu. Diners can select from a four-course menu from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., including champagne and strawberries to keep things romantic.
The Melting Pot: Give the gift of fondue for Valentine’s Day. Maybe the Melting Pot wants to help locals feeling the pain of V-Day happening right after Mardi Gras with their “Valentines Month” promotion. The restaurant offers four courses ranging from $89.99 to $109 per couple based on selected entree.
The Tasting Room: Enjoy Valentine’s Day dinner at The Tasting Room in the Lower Garden District. At $150 per couple, the feast includes a three-course meal and wine pairing.
Toups South: Toups South offers an inspired Valentine’s Day tasting menu for $65 per person. The five-course menu will be offered only on Valentine’s Day. Some menu options include marinated gulf shrimp, crawfish bisque, lobster raviolo, smoked mussel gratin, beef tenderloin, grilled tuna, chocolate and coffee ice cream sandwich. Guests can also partake in an optional seasonal cocktail menu.
Trinity: Trinity offers a three-course inspired a la carte menu for this Valentine’s Day. Among the options are Lobster and Crawfish Bisque, Shrimp Ravioli, Crispy Pork Belly, New York Strip, Seared Snapper. Appetizer options range from $12 to $16. Entrees on the menu range from $25 to $40. Desserts are $10.
Zea Rotisserie & Bar: This eatery with locations both on the North Shore and South Shore offers a $20 add-on special running through the weekend following Valentine’s Day. From Feb. 14 to Feb. 18, diners can add on six strawberries served with Chantilly creme and a Ruffino Prosecco Split.
