Saturday, April 6

New Orleans Moms Blog’s 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish

The Easter Egg Hunt takes over Children’s Hospital’s State Street Campus on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event features age-divided egg hunts, face-painting, a drum circle, the chance to interact with animals, giveaways, kid-friendly swag and so much more. Tickets are $25 for children and $20 for adults.

Longue Vue House & Gardens Easter Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish

Longue Vue House and Gardens hosts two Easter egg hunts on Saturday, April 6. The event also features Easter Bunny photos, face painting, lawn games and plant sales. The morning hunt is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The afternoon hunt is from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for members, $15 for non-members. Children age 2 and under enter free. Pre-registration required for hunts.

Easter Experience & Egg Hunt | Jefferson Parish

On the West Bank, join First Baptist Church Marrero for interactive and multi-sensory activities followed by an Easter egg hunt for all ages. The event on Saturday, April 6 is free and will take place at L.H. Marrero Middle School. The Easter Experience and Egg Hunt takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. Refreshments will also be served.

St. Charles Parks and Recreation Annual Easter Egg Hunt | St. Charles Parish

The St. Charles Department of Parks and Recreation will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 6 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway, in Luling. Registration begins at 11 a.m. in the main lobby. A hat contest will follow at 11:30 a.m. Easter egg hunts are broken down by age range in 15-minute time slots from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Two-dollar donations will be accepted. All proceeds benefit the Special Olympics. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available for $5.

Hammond Rec Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Tangipahoa Parish

The Hammond Rec Center hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt, which includes a train ride with the Easter Bunny, face painting and food. Somewhere in the sea of 10,000 eggs lies a golden egg. The lucky kid who finds it will be awarded a special gift. The free event and runs from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. Kids ages 12 and under are welcome to participate.


Sunday, April 7

Easter Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish

The New Orleans Opera Association hosts an Easter Egg hunt at the New Orleans Opera Guild Home on Sunday, April 7 on Prytania Street. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include music along with the hunt. Children under 2 get in free, all other ages are $15 each.

LPC Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish

The Lakeview Presbyterian Church hosts its annual Easter Egg hunt from 11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m., following the Sunday service. All families must RSVP for the event. Families are also encouraged to bring two dozen treat-filled plastic eggs if they are able by March 31. Friends are also welcome to join.

St. Charles Community Easter Eggstravaganza | St. Charles Parish

The St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan puts on a community Easter event that includes cupcake decorating, a petting zoo, bounce houses and an Easter Egg hunt. Check it out on Sunday, April 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Games, prizes and food will also be available. Plus, the Easter bunny is scheduled to make a visit.

Saturday, April 13

New Orleans City Park Egg Scramble | Orleans Parish

More than 36,000 eggs are up for grabs at the New Orleans City Park Egg Scramble from 9 a.m. to noon on April 13 and April 14. Hop to the park’s Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland for the Easter egg hunt, music, face painters, the Easter Bunny and a balloon artist. Kids can hunt for 100 golden eggs with tickets to City Park attractions. Tickets are $10 per person general admission or $5 per person for Friends of City Park members. Babies under 1 years old enter free.

NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival 2019 | Orleans Parish

Join the New Orleans Museum of Art for the annual egg hunt and family fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 13 in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be art activities, separate bounce houses for kids and toddlers, music, face painting, hula hooping, a juggler/magician and a petting zoo. Advance tickets are $10 for NOMA members (adults and children), $12 for non-members (adults and children). Tickets are $15 on the day of the event.

NORD Easter Eggstravaganza | Orleans Parish (Algiers)

On the West Bank in Algiers, hop over with your family and friends to this free, annual NORD Easter Eggstravaganza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Behrman Park. Children ages 3 to 12 will enjoy an Easter egg hunt, space walks, carnival games, face painting and races. Don’t forget to bring your own basket.

NORD Easter Eggstravaganza | Orleans Parish

The NORD Easter Eggstravaganza also brings an Easter egg hunt to Joe Brown Recreation Center on Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, space walks, carnival games, face painting, and races at this free event. Don’t forget to bring your own basket.

Sheriff Gusman’s 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish

Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman invites the public to his 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at “The Fly” area behind Audubon Zoo. The Easter Egg Hunt is free and open to the public. The event also features games, music, and food. Four different egg hunts will separate kids by age ranges: Children ages 1-3 start at 11 a.m.; ages 4-6 start at 11:15 a.m.; ages 7-9 start at 11:30 a.m. and ages 10-12 start at 11:45 a.m. Participants can exchange the eggs they find for a gift bag filled with candy. Children and their parents are encouraged to arrive early and register to receive same-day, free admission to the Audubon Zoo.

Egg-citing Spring Fling at Algiers Plaza | Orleans Parish (Algiers)

Bring your kids out to the first-ever Egg-citing Spring Fling at Algiers Plaza on the West Bank. The event on Saturday, April 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. includes pictures with the Easter bunny, a petting zoo, bounce house and more. The event and egg hunt is free, open to the public, rain or shine.

Councilman Mark Spears Annual Easter Egg Hunt | Jefferson Parish

Councilman Mark Spears hosts his annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Woodmere Playground in Harvey. Children ages 2 to 10 are welcome to participate in the hunt and enjoy activities and food. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Holy Family’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt | St. Charles Parish

Holy Family Church in Luling hosts their annual Easter Egg hunt, which is open to the public. Kids age 1 to age 10 can enjoy a free egg hunt, along with games and prizes. Service hours will also be available for those who need them.

Angels Grove Easter Eggstravaganza | St. Tammany Parish

Kids can see real bunnies at this Easter Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Angels Grove Ranch. More than 1,000 eggs are up for grabs during the egg hunt. Families can enjoy other activities like horse rides, hay rides, games, craft activities and live bunny pictures. Entry fee is $5, and tickets are available to purchase for activities and concessions.

2019 Northshore Parent Easter Egg Hunt | St. Tammany Parish

The sixth annual Northshore Parent Easter Egg Hunt includes hunts-by-age, Easter bunny pictures and a craft area. It takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at Paul D. Cordes Park in Mandeville. Tickets are $5 each and are required for admission of anyone over the age of six months. The event is rain or shine.

Sunday, April 14

St. Bernard Parish First Lady Easter Egg Hunt | St. Bernard Parish

In St. Bernard Parish, families can join the First Lady Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 in Sidney Torres Park. Children ages 10 and under will enjoy a day filled with activities ranging from a traditional Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny picture station, various yard games, an obstacle course and train rides. The hunts are split into age groups ranging from 0 to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 10. Golden Eggs will be available for discovery throughout each of the hunts, resulting in various prizes for whoever can find them. Refreshments and a DJ will also be provided.

New Orleans City Park Egg Scramble | Orleans Parish

Free Community Egg Hunt | Orleans Parish (Algiers)

The Connect Church of Algiers brings back their annual Easter Egg Hunt. It runs on Sunday, April 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free for kids up to 12 years old who have learned how to walk. New this year is also a baby and tots play space. The hunts are split between three age groups: Walking toddlers up to age 3, 4-year-old to 7-year-old and 8-year-old to 12-year-old. There will also be free food, balloon animals, face painting and inflatables.

Palm Sunday Egg Hunt and Family Picnic | St. Tammany Parish

Bring your chairs and picnic blankets to Aldersgate United Methodist Church for a family picnic and egg hunt on Sunday, April 14 from noon to 2 p.m. Pack your own picnic lunch or purchase lunch for sale at the event.


Saturday, April 20

Easter Eggstravaganza | Orleans Parish

Another one of NORD’s Easter events hits the Lafitte Greenway from 11 a.m. to  2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, space walks, carnival games, face painting and races. Don’t forget to bring your own basket.

Bunny Hops | Orleans Parish

Move over, kids! New Orleans City Park will host the first-ever, adults-only Bunny Hops event with free beer sampling on April 20. Bunny Hops is the newest event for adults ages 21 and older at Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Guests can hop aboard unlimited rides in the amusement park, enjoy open beer bars and shoot jello shots. Along with the Easter egg hunt, adults can also wear their best, wildest, or worst for a Best Bunny Ears costume contest. Tickets for the event are $30 per person.

Easter Extravaganza | Tangipahoa Parish

First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula hosts an Easter event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20 at Memorial Park in Ponchatoula. Kids ages 12 years and under can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a petting zoo and bounce houses.

Easter Eggstravaganza Community Event | St. Charles Parish

Get those Easter baskets ready an Easter event from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 20 at Jesse Duplantis Ministries Covenant Church in Destrehan. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, along with bounce houses, games, a craft station and an Easter Egg hunt for ages 2 to 12.

Hosanna Lutheran’s First Annual Easter Egg Hunt | St. Tammany Parish

Hosanna Lutheran Church starts an annual Easter egg hunt of their own this year at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20. Games and candy will also be part of the fun.

Easter EGGstival | St. Tammany Parish

The St. Tammany Easter Eggstival happens from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. This family fun-filled event in Slidell features an egg hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny, local vendor shops, door prizes and raffles. There will also be games and prizes for the kids, along with food and refreshments. Admission for kids are $3 each; adults get in free.


Sunday, April 21

Easter Champagne Brunch & Eggstravaganza | St. Tammany Parish

Head to Big Sky Ranch for the annual Easter Champagne Brunch and Eggstravaganza on Sunday, April 21. The event will feature a farm-to-table brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bloody Mary bar, live music, silent auction and an Easter egg hunt from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Additional festivities include hayrides and family games. The Eggstravaganza is open to the public, with refreshments available for purchase and donations welcome. Guests must make reservations for the Easter Champagne Brunch.
