Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats offering free coffee around New Orleans ahead of grand opening

Need a pick me up after Carnival season? No worries, Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats has you covered with a free cup of joe on the house!

To help cure your post Mardi Gras blues, the new neighborhood café is offering a free cup of coffee in a series of pop-ups around town.

The slew of pop-ups kicked off on Ash Wednesday by Jackson Square in their mobile coffee cart. The free offering will continue through Sunday, March 1.

Officially opening on March 16, 2020, the shop will live inside the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot in the Central Business District. The cafe will serve everything from espresso and drip coffee to boozy frozen beverages and coffee-infused cocktails. The food program is led by executive chef Chris Lusk and is formatted for light eating, while on the go.

Guests can enjoy house made frozen custards, including monthly seasonal flavors like strawberry shortcake made with vanilla custard, chocolate, fresh strawberries, and a sweet biscuit.

The new space features a ton of natural light with cozy banquette seating and a laptop-friendly central communal table equipped with functional power.

If you miss the free pop-ups, the mobile coffee cart will also make an appearance in Irish Channel on St. Patrick’s Day where thirsty customers can enjoy complimentary Irish Coffees.
