Another notable fall festival in New Orleans gets canceled as the fourth surge COVID-19 continues to cripple the healthcare system in Louisiana.
Organizers confirm the cancellation of the New Orleans Greek Fest, previously scheduled for Nov. 5 to Nov. 7 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Organizers say “it’s not feasible to try to have the festival this year” with the rise of COVID cases.
Traditionally, the cultural event takes place during Memorial Day weekend, but organizers postponed the event to this fall due to COVID-19.
The New Orleans Greek Fest is known for featuring a menu of authentic Greek dishes including baklava, roasted lamb, gyro and moussaka.
