Caesars Entertainment will open a new theater in New Orleans as part of the $325 million transformation of Harrah’s Casino.
The project is the latest development announced for the forthcoming Caesars New Orleans, scheduled to open in 2024.
Caesars told The Associated Press on Thursday it has signed a deal with Spiegelworld to create new live theater projects at casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and New Orleans. The projects in the three states will cost nearly $75 million.
“Atlantic City, New Orleans and Las Vegas are the country’s modern-day entertainment and sports capitals, and as we roll out our vision for the incredible reinventions of our properties in New Orleans and Atlantic City, we are delighted to add Spiegelworld’s eye for creative experiences to our plans,” said Anthony Carano, president and chief operating officer of Caesars Entertainment.
Spiegelworld produces the show “Absinthe” and other entertainment productions in Las Vegas.
Last month, Caesars Entertainment announced a new Nobu hotel and restaurant also heading to New Orleans. Nobu, the luxury hospitality brand founded by Robert De Niro, chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Meir Teper, is known for its unique Japanese fusion dining experience and attracting celebrities in other major cities like Los Angeles and London.
