NEW ORLEANS, La. (NOLA WEEKEND) - Popular New Orleans-born brunch brand Ruby Slipper is planning yet another expansion.
The restaurant known for “all-day brunch” is set to open its second Metairie location, the company announced in a release.
Ruby Slipper’s new location will open at 4236 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Mall, taking over the spot previously occupied by Mattress Direct. The new restaurant will be part of the soon-to-be rebranded Clearview Commons, slated to open next summer.
“We are excited to open a second location in Jefferson Parish, giving residents another spot to enjoy our famous eggs benedict and eye-opening cocktails,” Peter Gaudreau, CEO of Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group, said in a release. “We are also committed to being a part of this community by providing more jobs to the workforce and helping to revitalize a part of Veterans Blvd.”
Ruby Slipper’s new Jefferson Parish location will have a 4,000 square foot space with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant group says hiring for Ruby Slipper Clearview Commons will begin in early 2022.
This marks the ninth restaurant located in Louisiana with a total of over twenty Ruby Slipper and sister brand, Ruby Sunshine locations across six states.
Ruby Slipper is known for offering New Orleans-inspired twists on traditional Southern brunch favorites, including eggs Benedict, beignets, bananas Foster pain perdu and seasonal offerings.
