NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt returns to the live stage this fall with a national tour that lands at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans on Nov. 5.
Raitt announced new 2022 tour dates as support for her brand new studio album, “Just Like That...”, marking the singer-songwriter’s first studio album since 2016.
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Marc Cohn, most known for his soulful ballad “Walking in Memphis,” will join the tour as a special guest.
“I’m so excited to reunite with one of my favorite, soulful artists and dear friends, Marc Cohn for our fall tour of the Southwest and Southern states,” Raitt said in a release.
After many years as a cult favorite, Raitt rose to mainstream prominence in the early ‘90s with hits such as “Something To Talk About” and “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” among others. The ten-time Grammy winner was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and Rolling Stone named the slide guitar ace one of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and one of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time.”
