The Eagles add New Orleans stop to ‘Hotel California’ tour in November

NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Rock icons, the Eagles, are coming to town with their “Hotel California” 2002 tour stopping at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Nov. 19.

The band, featuring longtime members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, along with Vince Gill, announced an extension of the tour in November with a handful of new dates including the New Orleans addition.

Tickets for the November concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 via Ticketmaster.

According to a release, each concert will feature a live performance of the Eagles’ 1976 album “Hotel California” in its entirety from start to finish, accompanied by an orchestra and choir. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) also confirms the multi-platinum album is the third best-selling in U.S. history.

The show will also include a set of the band’s greatest hits, including fan favorites “Take It Easy,” “Already Gone,” “One of These Nights,” “Take It to the Limit” and others.

The Eagles have performed more than 60 sold-out shows since kicking off the “Hotel California” concerts in 2019 in Las Vegas. As the best-selling American band of the ‘70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
