Zulu announces music lineup for 2023 Coronation Ball

NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - The Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, Inc. announces its music lineup for its 2023 Coronation Ball at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Feb. 17.

R&B/soul singer-songwriter Anthony Hamilton, R&B singer Lloyd and R&B/funk band Midnight Star are set to perform, the krewe said via its Facebook page.

Entertainment will also feature “a late-night dance party” featuring sounds from DJ Jubilee and special guests celebrating 30 years of New Orleans bounce music.

The annual Zulu ball is widely recognized as one of the best social events held during the Mardi Gras season. The event is private, but a limited number of tickets are available to the public. You can purchase tickets here or at the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club headquarters, located at 732 N. Broad Street in New Orleans.

Tables may only be purchased with a 10-seat minimum. VIP Tables are available by calling 504-827-1661 or 504-495-9517.

The dress code is strictly formal, black-tie event. Men are required to wear black tuxedos only, and floor-length gowns are required for ladies. Zulu says violators of the dress code will not be admitted. No refund will be given.

The 2023 Zulu Ball is also scheduled on the same night Anita Baker and Babyface will perform in concert at the Smoothie King Center.
