Seal bringing 30th-anniversary tour to New Orleans this spring

NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - British pop singer Seal will hit the road on a 30th-anniversary tour that will stop in New Orleans this spring at the Saenger Theatre on May 2.

The tour will celebrate three decades of his self-titled debut album “Seal”, released in 1991, and his 1994 eponymous follow-up “Seal II.”

During his World Tour 2023, Seal will perform his greatest hits live in concert, according to a release. The pop star will also team up with longtime producer and collaborator Trevor Horn, who will take on the role of music director.

Seal is best known for his best-performing single “Kiss from a Rose,” which was widely popularized as part of the “Batman Forever” film soundtrack in 1995. The song won Grammy Awards for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year” in 1996.

English new wave band The Buggles will also perform a special guest on the tour.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 27 at ticketmaster.com or the Saenger Theatre box office. The box office is located at 1111 Canal Street in New Orleans and is open Monday to Friday from noon to 4 p.m.
