NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Disney Cruise Line officials give us a look inside two imaginative restaurants inspired by films onboard the Disney Wonder: Animator’s Palate and Tiana’s Place.
Animator’s Palate, one of three family dining restaurants on the ship, lets you feast your eyes on the magic of Disney animation as Disney Characters come to life during an innovative dinner show.

You begin in a black-and-white hand-drawn environment of Disney sketches adorning the walls following the evolution of animation.
During the dining experience, you will follow a hero’s storytelling journey through Disney and Pixar animation where sketches come to life from pencil test to ink and paint. There are special surprises at the end thanks to Sorcerer Mickey.
“It’s just what we like to do. Of course, we want to offer great food for our guests of all ages, but we also want to immerse them in the story that only Disney can tell,” Disney Cruise Line hotel director Alberto Besco said.
Another restaurant on the ship, Tiana’s Place, is a table service restaurant inspired by the 2009 Disney animated film “Princess and the Frog.”

Before you enter the restaurant, guests are greeted by French Quarter Lounge which features French Quarter-inspired decor and a life-sized St. Charles Streetcar.
“You will, for sure, taste the beautiful flavor of New Orleans, with accompanying great music and of course with Princess Tiana, that will be having an appearance as well during the dinner time,” Besco said.

These main dining restaurants are part of a concept called the rotational dining experience on board all Disney ships, where guests cruise ship guests dine at a different restaurant each night.
