NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Emeril Lagasse is the latest big name attached to culinary offerings as Harrah’s Casino continues its multimillion-dollar transformation into Caesars New Orleans.
Lagasse will open his first French restaurant with Caesars Entertainment, called Emeril’s Brasserie, and it’s slated to open in late 2023.
Emeril’s Brasserie also marks the chef’s first new restaurant in New Orleans since 2016, and it will be the first restaurant at the casino open to guests under age 21.
With this new restaurant, Lagasse takes a new direction into French-inspired cuisine, and guests will find “classic French dishes with New Orleans influence throughout the menu,” Lagasse said in a release.
“As my first French influenced concept, I had so much fun creating this menu and going back to my roots to pay homage to some of my own mentors,” Lagasse said.
The full-service restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner dining options, as well as a fast-casual coffee shop and bakery called the Petite Brasserie.
Emeril’s Brasserie will feature French-inspired cuisine with Emeril’s signature Creole flavors. The restaurant will encompass full-service breakfast, lunch and dinner dining options, as well as a fast-casual coffee shop and bakery called the Petite Brasserie.
The restaurant will be accessible from both the casino floor and an outside entrance off Canal Street, allowing the first family dining option at Caesars New Orleans.
In addition to a brasserie-inspired dining room, the restaurant will also offer outdoor patio seating.
“To introduce a restaurant concept by local favorite, Emeril Lagasse, and have this be his first with our Company, is truly such an honor,” said Samir Mowad, SVP and General Manager of Harrah’s New Orleans. “We’re creating an entirely new experience at Caesars New Orleans, elevating our offerings with exciting dining, gaming and entertainment options, and Emeril will help add that little bit of local spice that we need to our premier destination.”
The new Emeril Lagasse restaurant is the latest announcement in a list of big names the casino has been courting during its transformation.
Earlier this year, the casino put its finishing touches on a celebrity food hall featuring quick-service dining concepts from Bobby Flay, Buddy Valastro and Nina Compton. Plus, a new Nobu hotel and restaurant, from the Robert De Niro-backed hospitality brand, is slated to open in 2024.
