Multi-platinum selling country duo Florida Georgia Line and award-winning, singer-songwriter and producer Maren Morris headline the Allstate Fan Fest at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31.
Before the stars hit the stage, a New Year’s Eve Mardi Gras Parade will take place at 2 p.m.
College football fans gear up for the Allstate Sugar Bowl in the Crescent City. The 2019 matchup between Georgia and Texas will kickoff New Year’s Day at 7:30 p.m. in the Mercedes Benz Superdome.
But, fans can expect a jam packed weekend with a mix of interactive activities starting Sunday, Dec. 30 leading up to the big game.
The Allstate Fan Fest will feature football-themed activities, including an opportunity to kick a field goal into the iconic Allstate “Good Hands” Field Goal Net, along with pep rallies featuring marching bands, mascots and cheerleaders from the participating schools. Pep rally times are TBD.
Like years past, the performance will be included in “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019.” Actress Lucy Hale will host the Central Time Zone celebration from New Orleans leading up to the midnight countdown and fleur-de-lis drop near Jackson Square.
“For 85 years, the Sugar Bowl has been bringing the best in college football in our city and guaranteeing that New Orleans is one of the best places to celebrate New Year’s Eve,” said Paul Hooligan, CEO of the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The Allstate Fan Fest is free and open to the public. The fest will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, and noon through to the New Year’s Eve celebrations on Monday, December 31. Fan fest is located at Jackson Square in the Jax Brewery parking lot off Decatur Street (418 Decatur Street).
