Amazon announced it started waiving the purchase minimum on Monday, Nov. 5 to offer more convenience and faster delivery for customers.

The company previously only offered free shipping to online orders totaling $25 for shoppers without prime memberships. Now, hundreds of millions of items will become eligible for free shipping in time for Christmas, due to the new promotion.
