Organizers of Boycott Bowl have finally nailed down a location for the Super Bowl protest concert set for Feb. 3.
“We are blocking off Fulton Street from Girod to Lafayette and taking this boycott to the streets!!!” announced via the Boycott Bowl Facebook page.
Choppa, Shamarr Allen & The Underdogs and Partners-N-Crime are among the local artists scheduled to perform at the event set for noon to 10 p.m.
Organizers revealed details about an initial lineup on Friday, Jan. 25. Since then new talent has been added to the roster including Rockin’ Doopsie, a solo set by Fred! from Cowboy Mouth and Grammy nominated bounce artist 5th Ward Weebie.
Local Who Dats worked up plans to boycott the big game after the following the crushing no-call during the Saints’ NFC Championship game.
According to the event’s Facebook page, organizers want to throw the music festival to provide the Who Dat Nation the opportunity to celebrate the New Orleans Saints and the city’s culture.
The event’s website allows fans to purchase tickets for as little as $10 to reserve a seat. Fans who donate more will have the option of multiple tickets or a VIP package.
Founders Brandon Rizzuto, Travis Laurendine and “Kango Slimm” Williams are behind the event’s creation.
So far, the Boycott Bowl lineup will feature:
- CHOPPA, leading a “Choppa Style” Dance Contest
- Shamarr Allen & The Underdogs, performing, known for the fan anthem “Hit the Sean Payton”
- Partners N Crime and The Big EZ Band
- Rockin Doopsie
- Fred! from Cowboy Mouth (solo set)
- The Vettes
- Ricky B
- Flow Tribe
- Khris Royal and Dark Matter
- Michot’s Melody Makers featuring members of The Lost Bayou Ramblers

Organizers say they will donate concert proceeds to The NORD Foundation “to coach and equip the next generation of New Orleans champions.”
