Calling All Bourbon Lovers: New Orleans Gets a New Bourbon Fest

Bourbon lovers, you get a new festival!

New Orleans adds another festival to its long list, this time for bourbon lovers. The inaugural New Orleans Bourbon Festival brings together distilleries, restaurants, speakers and industry professionals this weekend in the Warehouse District.

The new festival will take over March 24 to March 26 with festivities converging at The Sugar Mill and the Marriot Convention Center. If you want to whet your appetite a little early, Legends of the Bourbon Series will feature five, exclusive four-course pairing dinners hosted by master distillers at top local restaurants for $130 per person. This event happens prior to the official festival opening on Thursday.

Guests can participate in Grand Tastings on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at The Sugar Mill. Festival-goers can check out the “Bourbon-centric” marketplace and sample spirits as well as bites from local restaurants, all while enjoy live jazz music.

Live panel discussions start on Saturday at 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the day at the Marriott Convention Center. Hear from some of the top industry professionals as well as some of the industry’s most recognized females on the featured on “Women in Bourbon” panel, representing one of the fastest-growing segments in the industry. See the full list of seminars here.

An awards brunch closes out the festival on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at the Marriot Convention Center. There, festival organizers will announce winners of the bourbon tasting. The brunch will also feature craft cocktails and live jazz music.

Ticket prices range from $59 to $490 and can be purchased here. Visit the festival website for more information at Neworleansbourbonfestival.com.
