If you thought the holidays were just for humans, you thought wrong! Dogs can enjoy the festive season too at NOLA City Bark’s inaugural “Howliday Market & Parade” on Saturday, December 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The first-time event will take over New Orleans City Park’s Goldring Woldenberg Great Lawn on 6 Victory Avenue. Admission is free for humans and friendly leashed dogs.
The parade begins at 3 p.m. For those interested in joining the parade can pay $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event. The parade will be led by the New Orleans Saint’s Gumbo, the Cherry Bombs, and MC Chrissy from B97 along with music to celebrate.
Don’t miss your chance to enjoy some delicious food and try your luck with a raffle. Over 30 vendors will be on site to do some shopping. Plus, lovable dogs will be up for adoption from the following rescue groups: Zeus Place, Inner Pup, Take Paws, Humane Society of LA, Louisiana SPCA. Blue Tails and New Orleans Bulldog Rescue.
Your dog could win big in the costume contest. An array of prizes will be up for grabs provided by Camp Bow Wow – Mid City. Fee per dog entered: $10 pre-registration and $15 on the day of to enter the contest. To enter, click here.
