Bayou culture takes center stage this weekend.
Bayou culture takes center stage this weekend at the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival at Armstrong Park. Enjoy this free event Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The family-friendly festival will offer plenty of music, food and art. Fest organizers say they’re adding a kids tent this year, a new feature allowing children to enjoy creative activities under parental supervision. This year’s music lineup includes Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Chris Ardoin & Nu Step, Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas, Sean Ardoin & Zydekool, Roddie Romero & the Hub City Allstars and others.
Festival representatives appeared on FOX 8 Morning Edition to talk more about what people can expect at this year’s event. They also featured one mouth-watering dish you can try at the festival.
