Fans can experience the magic of Star Wars with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) – Fans will be able to experience the magic of Star Wars with help of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the Saenger Theater will present Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, a live performance during a complete screening of the film.

Released nearly 40 years ago, the film features scores written by Academy Award-winning composer John Williams. Williams is known for writing the scores for all eight films in the Star Wars saga.

During the screening of the film, the Louisiana Philharmonic will perform Williams’ scores live to the film allowing fans to experience the grandeur of the film.

Performances of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert will take place on Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 8 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Saenger Theater.

Tickets for the concert are set to go on sale on Friday, June 29 at 10 a.m. They will be available at the Saenger Theater Box Office, or by calling 1-(800)-745-3000.

The Saenger Theatre box office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is located at 1111 Canal Street.
