Foo Fighters-led ‘Krewe du Foo’ Mardi Gras-style parade cancelled

The Krewe du Foo parade scheduled for Feb. 14 is now cancelled, after the Foo Fighters reschedule their grand opening shows at The Fillmore New Orleans.

Representatives for the Fillmore confirmed the cancellation on Monday, Feb. 4, on the heels of a band member’s injury forcing the rock stars to postpone shows.

Iconic rock superstars Foo Fighters were scheduled to lead the first-of-its-kind Mardi Gras parade through downtown New Orleans leading up to the grand opening of the Fillmore.

Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and DJ Raj Smoove were also set to join the band, along with Krewes Camel Toe Lady Steppers and Rolling Elvi joining Alice Harte Marching Band, Martin Luther King Jr. Marching Band and many others.

Foo Fighters rescheduled the shows grand opening shows for May 15 and May 16, the band announced via their Facebook page.

Representatives for the Fillmore announced that the new music club’s first show will now be Coheed and Cambria on Feb. 18, followed by a two-night stand with Duran Duran on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20.
