Fried Chicken Fest 2018: Here’s the full menu of finger-licking dishes

The National Fried Chicken Festival will feature more than 30 restaurants from around the country frying a mix of traditional and creative finger-licking poultry dishes. Organizers released complete details on the menu festival-goers can dig into when the free festival hits Woldenberg Riverfront Park on Sept. 22 to Sept. 23.

Local restaurants include We Dat’s Chicken & Shrimp, Ma Momma’s House of Cornbread, Chicken & Waffles, Bayou Hot Wings, Felipe’s Taqueria, Diva Dog and many more.

Veganation, a California vegan restaurant, was added to the list of vendors this year. Veganation plans to debut a vegan Cajun southern “fried chicken” and waffles.

A new beer tasting garden hosted by Miller Coors and NOLA Brewery along with a Crown Royalty Lounge is also set to debut this year.

This year’s festival will also feature various chefs showcasing fried chicken secrets on a food demonstration stage, live music, a kid’s area and a game zone for watching NFL and college games.

The music lineup features performances by Mannie Fresh, Amanda Shaw, Flow Tribe, Shamarr Allen & the Underdawgs, DJ Stormy, DJ Legatron and many more.

All restaurants will compete for bragging rights in the festivals two highly coveted tasting contests, “Best Fried Chicken” and “Best Use of Fried Chicken in a Dish.”

The complete menu for the National Fried Chicken Festival along with prices is outlined below. Heading to Fried Chicken Fest on a budget? We also have a list of dishes for $5 or less.
