Gulf Coast’s Oldest Surviving Antebellum Hotel

What does Mardi Gras and the Yellow Fever have to do with this historic establishment?

The Magnolia Hotel in Biloxi, Miss. is thought to be the oldest hotel on the coast. Built in 1847, the Mississippi Landmark housed vacationers seeking the gulf breeze before closing its doors upon World War II. Currently, the Magnolia Hotel is home to the Biloxi Mardi Gras Museum. Our friends at Gulf Coast Weekend give us a tour.
