Hot Tin, rooftop bar at Pontchartrain Hotel, reopens on St. Charles Avenue

Popular rooftop bar Hot Tin is one of the latest bars to reopen after New Orleans launched Phase Two of reopening.

Under Phase Two requirements, New Orleans bars and casinos can reopen at 25 percent capacity and restaurants can increase capacity to 50 percent, with masks and social distancing required.

Hot Tin opened doors once again on Wednesday. The new hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We are so excited to see everyone again! Bring your quarantine crew and fanciest masks to enjoy the views from the rooftop of the Pontchartrain Hotel once again,” the bar announced on social media.

In accordance with City and CDC guidelines, Hot Tin released new safety measures via its website.

The bar will require masks for entry and will perform temperature checks upon guests’ arrival.¬†Guests are required to wear masks while walking around the bar.

Hot Tin says tables will be limited to a maximum of 10 people to help with social distancing measures.

The intimate rooftop bar at the historic Pontchartrain Hotel boasts an unobstructed 270-degree view of downtown New Orleans. Champagne and snazzy cocktails complement the indoor/outdoor bar modeled after a 1940s artist’s loft.
