IHOP says ‘it faked’ name change, offers 60 cent pancakes on July 17

Remember when IHOP decided to change their name to IHOB?  Do you also remember when almost everyone thought that was a really bad idea?  Well, they’ve released a statement on what we’ve all already known anyway: it was all just a marketing ploy to promote their new burgers.  They recently sent out a tweet saying, “We’d never turn our back on pancakes except for that time we faked it to promote our new burgers.”  Now that they’ve had their fun, they’re getting back to business, and they’re going to be celebrating 60 years of making pancakes with a pretty sweet deal — pun intended.

60 Cent Short Stacks

That’s right! From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, you can get an order of short stacks at your favorite IHOP for just 60 cents.  Whether you’re just eating pancakes, or you like to add them on to a big breakfast of bacon and eggs, you’ll be able to enjoy 3 fluffy buttermilk pancakes for a great price!  The hardest part of all of this will be trying to decide which flavor syrup to put on your short stack.   Since this is a pretty sweet deal, there are a few disclaimers! It’s dine-in only, you can only get one order per guest, and it’s not valid with any other discounts or coupons.  So mark your calendars, and get ready to eat some pancakes!
