The Wizarding World expands online to add a little magic while we’re social distancing.
“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling launched a new online hub called “Harry Potter at Home” to help keep kids entertained and educated during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Parents, teachers and carers working to keep children amused and interested while we’re on lockdown might need a bit of magic.,” Rowling said in a tweet announcing the launch.

The online hub offers resources from several content creators and publishers including special activity kits, craft videos, articles, quizzes and puzzles.
Audible also includes a free copy of the series’ first book, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” also known in the U.S. as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
Basically, the site has plenty to keep little wizards busy.
“For over twenty years now, Hogwarts has been an escape for all – for readers and fans, young and old,” an introduction on the new site reads. “During the strange times we now find ourselves in, we want to welcome you back to Hogwarts, where you will find a friendly retreat for you, your family and those you are caring for.”
So what else can you check out on the site?
The Wizarding World team created a Harry Potter word search puzzle. Plus, there are video tutorials on how to draw characters from the series. For example, you can learn how to draw a Niffler.
Users can also take interactive quizzes based on the “Harry Potter” series.
“We’re casting a Banishing Charm on boredom,” the site said.
Another feature allows teachers to record themselves reading Harry Potter Books and share with students online. J.K Rowling and her team announced a special, open licence for teachers share to virtual read-a-long sessions on video.
