Rap icon Jay-Z will hit the stage on Thursday night at the Smoothie King Center while on his “4:44” Tour. But before the rapper rocks the crowd, he made sure to stop at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant with his wife, singer Beyoncé and her sister and New Orleans resident Solange.

Culinary icon Leah Chase is the chef and proprietor of the historic Creole restaurant known for its role in the civil rights movement among other notable honors.
Beyonce and Jay-Z have been known to make their rounds to several iconic New Orleans restaurants during their visits. In the past, the stars have been spotted at Gene’s Po-Boys and Mother’s Restaurant. In 2014, Beyonce rented out the entire Muriel’s to throw a party for her mom Tina Knowles’ 60th birthday.
Beyonce has also been known to be a fan of Willa Jean, where chef/partner Kelly Field says she even named a frozen cocktail after the star.
