Jazz Fest releases updated Thursday performance schedule due to weather delay

Play at the Zurich Classic was suspended and the opening of the gates for the first day of Jazz Fest were delayed due to the threat of severe weather.

Officials suspended play around 9:45 a.m. and removed players from the golf course.

However, Jazz Fest organizers opened the gates at 12:30 p.m. and the Zurich Classic resumed play at 1:10 p.m.

Officials later announced that they would resume play at 1:10 p.m.

Officials with the Jazz and Heritage Festival were forced to delay opening the gates this morning due to heavy rains and winds. The gates are not scheduled to open at 12:30 p.m.

 

The viewing area continues to be under a tornado watch until 3 p.m. Thursday as severe weather moves through the area.
