Another viral chicken sandwich makes a big comeback. KFC announced that the chain is launching its fried chicken and donut sandwich nationwide, Business Insider reports.
KFC first tested the sugary sandwich in select markets back in September 2019, and the viral menu item caused quite a stir on social media.
Now, everyone can get a taste.
“Chicken & Donuts is the newest fried chicken trend we’re bringing to all of America,” Andrea Zahumensky, the chief marketing officer at KFC US, said in a press release.
Maybe KFC wants to give the Popeyes’ viral chicken sandwich a little competition.
Fans who finally want to try the fried chicken and dount sandwich can order the new item in two forms: sandwich and basket. The sandwich includes a fillet of boneless fried chicken sandwich between two glazed doughnuts. The basket version is a deconstructed version of the sandwich with boneless or bone-in chicken and one or two doughnuts.
Prices for the item range from $5.49 to $7.99. The sandwich will be available through March 16 or while supplies last, according to Business Insider.
