Is it still too early to think about Carnival? Well, the Krewe of Bacchus already nailed down its parade theme for 2019.
The superkrewe selects “Starring Louisiana” for its 2019 parade theme. The Krewe of Bacchus announced the new theme toasting “Hollywood South” via its Facebook page.
The themed floats will “reflect movies and television shows filmed in Louisiana,” according to the post.
Parade-goers will catch the krewe’s toast to Hollywood South when the Krewe of Bacchus rolls along its traditional Uptown route on March 3, 2019.
“Please plan to join us along the Uptown Route on Bacchus Sunday (March 3, 2019). We’ll reward you with “The Best Throws of Carnival!” the krewe said in a Facebook post.

The krewe also unveiled a new signature float, the Bacchaneer, in honor of its 50th anniversary which featured pirate-themed throws.
Last year, the krewe named Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons as its 2018 celebrity monarch.
