Legendary Rockers ZZ Top Head to New Orleans This Fall

Legendary rock band ZZ Top makes a stop at the Saenger Theater on November 12 for “The Tonnage Tour.”  The tour was inspired by the release of the band’s album “ZZ Top’s Live! Greatest Hits From Around the World” which was recorded live across three continents.

According to singer/guitarist Billy Gibbons, it started as “a mega meta sorta thang,” and now has inspired a world tour.

“The run is Tex-centric, just like ourselves, and the band is looking forward to getting our heads in Mississippi, and points beyond,”Gibbons said. “After 4 decades, we believe we’re beginning to get the hang of it, so a mighty good time will be enjoyed by all,” he said.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 21 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Saenger Theater box office, via ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.  Ticket prices range from $45 to $125, plus applicable service charges and fees.  VIP packages will also be available.
