Organizers also announced a shortened parade route, due to the collapse at the Hard Rock Hotel construction site at 1031 Canal Street, via a release.

The parade begins at Elysian Fields Avenue and Decatur Street and will wind its way through the French Quarter, the CBD and into the New Orleans Arts District, bypassing Canal Street this year.

The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m, ending at Generations Hall for the Monster Mash, the official after-party of the Krewe of BOO! The Monster Mash is a ticketed costume event at Generations Hall, featuring JT and the Ka-Nection and local DJs.

New Orleans attorney Stephen Rue will reign as king of the 2019 parade.

The 2019 parade features more than 500 riders on 16 floats and more than 30 marching krewes.
