The Louisiana Children’s Museum will open to families for the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays from Nov. 21 to Nov. 29, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day.
Museum officials announced special November holiday hours, marking the first time the Louisiana Children’s Museum has opened for an extended period since indefinitely closing in August.
Advance timed-entry tickets are required to help LCM to ensure the health and safety of visitors, staff, volunteers. Museum officials say they will limit admission to comply with City and State guidelines for Phase 3.
General admission timed-entry tickets are $14 per person for adults and children age 12 months and older. Member admission is free for the number of admissions allowed by the level of family membership, but the cardholder must be present. Purchase timed-entry tickets at www.lcm.org/tickets.

All adult guests and children age 8 and older are required to wear face masks. Masks for children age 3 to 7 are strongly recommended. Hand sanitizer is available to guests prior to entering the LCM and throughout exhibit galleries. Parents and caregivers are asked to keep the CDC recommended social distance (six feet) while playing within the Museum.
The Museum Store will open for holiday shopping, and Acorn Café will also open for dine-in or takeout orders.
Since its indefinite closure in August, the Louisiana Children’s Museum has offered monthly family play days as part of the Helis Foundations’ Art for All program. Louisiana residents can enjoy the final free family day at the museum on Dec. 12.
