Middendorf’s Slidell is the second location following the original spot located in Manchac, LA situated between the brackish lakes of Maurepas and Ponchartrain. Fans can bet on the same mouthwatering recipe but in a new building located at 1951 Oak Harbor Boulevard, right off Interstate 10. See the inside of the new spot via Middendorf’s Facebook page.

It’s family friendly with the same look and feel as the original — a grand, white building topped with the signature Middendorf’s humps and filled with beautiful wood, down-home comfort and a touch of whimsy. Venture outside, and you’ll find an open air porch overlooking an inviting sand/play area for the kids with fountains, palm trees and tiki huts. Eventually, there will be a pond too.

The Middendorf’s Express G model train delights children of all ages, chronicling the history of the restaurant and the surrounding area. There’s something for everyone at Middendorf’s, entertainment and good eats.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 am to 9 pm. First timers can check out the menu here.
