Tales Restaurant Week

Several local restaurants are offering special price-fixed tasting┬ámenus this week. Participating restaurants include: Arnaud’s, Avo, Cafe Adelaide, CellarDoor, The Company Burger, Emeril’s, Felipe’s, The Fountain Lounge, Galatoire’s, Galatoire’s 33, Green Goddess, Morton’s Steakhouse, NOLA Restaurant, Oxalis, Primitivo, Sac-a-Lait, Salon by Sucre, and SoBou. Dynamic Duos

These events pair bartenders in friendly cocktail competitions … where the real winners are the customers. The first of these is at Three Muses Tuesday at 6 p.m., with events following Wednesday at 4 p.m. (Cane & Table), 5 p.m. (Tableau & Patrick’s Bar Vin) & 6 p.m. (21st Amendment Bar), Thursday at 1 p.m. (Napoleon House), and Saturday at 4 p.m. (Ace Hotel).

Spirited Dinner Series

This event offers pairings of cocktails with dinner at participating restaurants throughout the New Orleans area Thursday night. Participants include: Palace Cafe, Katie’s, Ruth’s Chris, Doris Metropolitan, Cafe’ Henri, Treo, CellarDoor, Commander’s Palace, Compere Lapin, R’evolution, La Petite, Dickie Brennan’s, Pizza Domenica, Coquette, Tableau, Brennan’s, Emeril’s, Bacchanal, The Pelican Club, and more.

Freret Street Bar Crawl

As the name suggests, this Sunday event-closing spectacle involves a bar crawl on one of New Orleans “hottest” blocks. Participating businesses include High Hat, Ancora, Bar Frances, Company Burger, Cure, and Gasa Gasa.

The Dame Hall of Fame honors the women of cocktails Friday evening. “Shop Local” provides discounts on goods to festival shoppers. Local breweries like Urban South and Nola Brewing are offering special tours. And of course the sponsored demonstrations are numerous and varied. There just might be something for everything.
