A unique, Valentine’s-themed haunted house will unleash vampires for a thrilling spin on a romantic holiday. The creators of New Orleans Nightmare will open Love Bites: A Valentine’s Haunted House for the first time on Feb. 15 and Feb. 16.
Guests will test out their vampire hunting skills in the new interactive haunted house experience full of blood-sucking turns. The two-day event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group’s award-winning set and costume designers, make-up artists and special effects technicians have produced a haunted Valentine’s experience complete with new scenes, characters and an immersive story line. Love Bites: A Valentine’s Haunted House could provide a thrilling option instead of the typical “dinner and a movie.”
The haunt invites visitors to “navigate through the lair of these blood-thirsty monsters” on a mission to “vanquish the creatures that lurk ahead,” according to a release.
The on-site event also features mini escape games in addition to the interactive haunted house.
Event organizers warn that the event may be too intense for children under the age of 12.
New Orleans Nightmare is behind bringing the Valentine’s-themed haunted house to the New Orleans area. The crew debuted a new attraction for the 2018 Halloween season at the site previously occupied by the House of Shock and a holiday haunted house based on the Krampus legend.
The parent company, Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, is a Halloween-themed entertainment company behind several haunted houses across the country. The company currently produces haunted houses in more than a dozen national locations including San Antonio; Austin, Texas; Nashville, Tenn.; Chicago and Los Angeles, among others.
New Orleans Nightmare is located at 319 Butterworth Street in Jefferson, near the Huey P. Long Bridge.
General admission tickets start at $19.99. Fast passes and mini-escape game tickets are also available for additional fees.
