New bar for bubbly and cocktails, Chandelier Bar, is newest opening announced for New Orleans’ Four Seasons Hotel

The Four Seasons Hotel announces its latest amenity ahead of its highly-anticipated opening at the foot of Canal Street: a new bar centered around bubbly, bites and classic cocktails.

The new Chandelier Bar is set to open as the “glamorous lower-level centerpiece” of the luxury hotel, featuring its own elaborate centerpiece — a namesake custom chandelier of 15,000 crystals.

With a bar program headed by beverage manager Hadi Ktiri, the Chandelier Bar is poised to celebrate the rich and renowned history of New Orleans cocktail culture. Ktiri gained notoriety as one of the principal bartenders at the famed French 75 Bar at Arnaud’s when they won the 2017 James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program.

Guests can enjoy executions of classic New Orleans cocktails, such as the Sazerac, Ramos Fizz, Hurricane and French 75. Along with those local staples, the bar plans to serve “more obscure variations meant to transport guests through creative storytelling and art,” the release said.

Premium Champagnes and sparkling wines, including Dom Pérignon and Ruinart by the glass, will also flow from the bar’s offerings. Caviar service will complement the beverage program, along with a menu of bites from James Beard Award-winning chef Alon Shaya.

“Chandelier Bar is the energy centre of Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, and a passionate tribute to the illustrious cocktail tradition of the City,” said Mali Carow, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Orleans. “Wrapped within this stunning chandelier, guests from near and far will connect, celebrate, and indulge here as part of their New Orleans experience, tasting New Orleans in every savoured sip.”

Designed by Bill Rooney Interiors, Chandelier Bar is the centerpiece of the lobby, offering 85 seats (22 at the bar, 51 in the lounge, and 12 on the garden terrace) set in curated social spaces.

The hotel said the experience is meant to create “a layered story of discovery” in a room subdivided by contemporary shutter screens of oak, iron and curated art.

In addition to Chandelier Bar, the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans previously announced two other restaurant concepts set to open. One is a new unnamed concept from chef Donald Link on the hotel’s fifth floor with panoramic views of the Mississippi River. Another signature restaurant is planned with James Beard-winning chef Alon Shaya, along with a poolside venue and in-room dining.

Set to open in mid-2021, the new Four Seasons is housed in a 34-story tower in the iconic riverfront World Trade Center and will also include 341 rooms and suites; wellness facilities including a full-service spa, fitness centre and outdoor pool deck; state-of-the-art event spaces for hosting meetings, conferences, weddings and other social occasions; and 92 Four Seasons Private Residences.
