Wrong Iron is located in close proximity to Bayou Beer Garden and boasts 50 beers, 10 wines, five cocktails and four frozen drinks all on tap, according to the website.

After delays related to sewer and water line installation, the official opening date was announced on Wrong Iron’s Facebook page.

You can also bank on food trucks that will provide the dining options, though a kitchen and grill is planned for use by chefs for rotating pop-ups and private events.

Owners describe the outdoor space as dog-friendly and bike-friendly with fire pits and games like corn hole and bocce. For bikers arriving along the Greenway, Wrong Iron will offer 60 bike parking spaces along the back of the patio.

According to Eater New Orleans, the new spot is a project of Herb Dyer, owner of the Bulldog and Velvet Cactus in Lakeview, and Billy Good and Rusty Smith, co-owners of the nearby dog daycare Camp Bow Wow. Local developer Sidney Torres owns the portion of land along the Lafitte Greenway that was transformed into the site of the new beer garden, Eater reports.
