New Orleans East Hospital offering free fish plate with COVID vaccine on Good Friday

New Orleans East Hospital will offer a free fish plate for people who get a COVID-19 vaccine at its mobile vaccination site on Good Friday.

The hospital will administer vaccines from its mobile vaccination unit at the Ashé Cultural Arts Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 2.

According to an announcement on Facebook, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be administered. Participants will receive the free fish plate upon completion of the vaccine process.

Participants must be 18 years or older, and supplies are limited, the hospital said.

The Ashé Cultural Arts Center is located at 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard in Central City.

Other businesses in the metro New Orleans area are also offering freebies for people who get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prytania Theatre and Krispy Kreme recently announced vaccination incentives for customers who can show proof of vaccination.

Krispy Kreme locations nationwide will offer a free Original Glazed Doughnut through the rest of 2021. Prytania Theatre said movie-goers can watch a movie for free at their Uptown location.
