The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE) announced new dates for its 2021 event due to COVID-19 safety precautions. NOWFE will now take place this summer from June 9 to June 13.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2021 event, organizers announced.
“We are excited about our summer plans,” NOWFE executive director Aimee Brown said. “We will have several of our popular events, however, coming together safely is most important. Rest assured NOWFE 2021 will be a safe place to share your love of food and wine.”
Organizers say events will have limited attendance, and some events will have additional time slots added.
“We’ve created several ticket packages to help guide our guests through the best experience that fits their needs,” NOWFE president Joey Worley said. “With varying levels, everyone can find something to fit their budget and their schedule.”
The culinary and wine-focused festival has been a staple New Orleans event for nearly 30 years, featuring wine dinners, premium tasting events, seminars and the iconic Royal Street Stroll.
While the grand tastings are scheduled to return, one notable change in this year’s schedule is the absence of the popular Royal Street Stroll for 2021.
Other events slated to return this summer include the Tournament of Rosés on Fulton Street and Burlesque, Bubbly, and Brunch led by beloved burlesque dancer Trixie Minx.
Also in 2020, NOWFE was named a winner in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for “Best Wine Festival.” NOWFE was nominated by a panel of experts who partnered with 10Best editors, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.
