Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve
This is the third year that “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” telecast hosted by Ryan Seacrest will have a presence in New Orleans. Witness the fleur-de-lis drop and a spectacular fireworks show, as New Orleans closes out its Tricentennial year. Country stars Florida Georgia Line and Maren Morris will headline the concert that also coincides with the Allstate Fan Fest. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. Actress Lucy Hale will host the Central Time Zone celebration in New Orleans. The event is free and open to the public.
Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year's Eve Parade
The Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade will feature floats, bands and other participants at 2 p.m. Is there a more New Orleans-style way to help ring in the New Year? The parade begins at the intersection of Elysian Fields Avenue and Decatur Street. The parade wraps up at Canal Street. Check out the Allstate Fan Fest while you’re out and about.
Crescent City Countdown
Crescent City Countdown welcomes the New Year in New Orleans with the annual fleur de lis drop and Riverfront fireworks show at midnight. See the free “Symphony in the Sky” from the East Bank or West Bank of the Mississippi River.

Big Night New Orleans at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans is one of the city’s big parties held annually on New Year’s Eve. Dance your way into the new year with local bands like Cowboy Mouth, Amanda Shaw, Cha Wa, Brass-A-Holics and many others. New Orleans’ very own 610 Stompers will also make an appearance. Ticket prices for the entertainment-filled night vary based on package and time of purchase.
Galactic New Year’s Eve at Tipitina’s
Local band Galactic takes over Tipitina’s on New Year’s Eve with their creative style and music. Ticket price for general admission is $76, or you can pay $201 to experience the VIP treatment. VIP tickets include an open bar, a champagne toast, access to a VIP viewing section, signed Galactic gear and more.
New Year's Eve at the Southern Hotel
If you’re on the North Shore, the Southern Hotel in downtown Covington hosts a New Year’s Eve party with the Groovy 7 and a pine cone drop. End your night with a champagne toast. Cocktails and food will be available for purchase. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the band plays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Black-tie encouraged. Cocktail attire required. General admission tickets start at $75, plus taxes and fees.

Boyfriend, a female rapper, writer and artist, will perform at One Eyed Jacks on New Year’s Eve. Her songs and performances are filled with female-empowered messages designed to evoke conversation. Ticket prices start at $25 and range up to $150 for VIP access, which includes balcony access, complimentary champagne and a cash bar.

Fans of Frenchman Street can ring in 2019 at The Maison starting at 10 p.m. The three-floor party will include performances by the Soul Rebels, Sierra Green and the Soul Machine and DJ Dizzy. Audubon’s annual Zoo Year’s Eve event let’s families and kids countdown to noon to ring in the New Year. Pick up a party hat, and have a soft drink toast to celebrate the countdown. Music, games and prizes are also part of the celebration. Join in the fon from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is included with zoo admission.
Get crafty at the Louisiana Children’s Museum during the noon countdown to 2019. Kids can make festive noisemakers and paper bag party hats to help them ring in the New Year.
