Crawfish lovers unite for the fifth annual NOLA Crawfish Festival at Central City BBQ’s Smoke Yard from April 27 to April 29.
Visitors and locals alike can come out and indulge in over 8,000 pounds of mouthwatering hot boiled crawfish and washing it down with delicious local brews.
Artists Anders Osborne, Ivan Neville & Friends, Eric Krasno, Marcus King, Duane Trucks, Luther Dickinson and Grahame Lesh are slated to headline the three day festival.
Here’s the official 2020 flyer:
“We are super excited to be putting on this festival for the 5th year in a row and our plans are to make this the biggest and best yet” says Chris Davis, Festival Producer of Nola Crawfish Fest. “Jazzfest has become a two week long tradition for some folks and we are proud to provide a little bit more of New Orleans for those who stay in town during the ‘daze between’ while providing our locals a more intimate festival-going experience.”
In addition to music, there will be a crawfish cookoff and Crawfish Eating Contest. The Louisiana Fish Fry Ultimate Cookoff will pit 20 teams against each other to see who can create the most savory and tasteful pot of crawfish, where a panel of celebrity judges will crown the winner. For those interested in the eating contest will have seven minutes to down the most bugs.
We know you can’t wait so check out the teaser posted to the festival’s social media page:
