North Shore diners can get a taste of new, special dining deals this summer. Restaurants in St. Tammany Parish will now dish deals to customers during its inaugural “Tammany Taste of Summer” promotion this August.
The North Shore promotion is similar to the annual Coolinary program adopted by many New Orleans restaurants that offer deals during August.
The St. Tammany Parish Tourist and Convention Commission now debuts its version that includes nearly two dozen restaurants along the North Shore. The promotion includes prix-fixe menus discounted by 20 percent or more. The deals differ by restaurant with some offering three-course dinners, three-course brunches or two- and three-course lunches.
Discounts span across landmark North Shore restaurants to rising stars. Some of the participating restaurants include Meribo, Oxlot 9, Restaurant Cote, Gallagher’s Grill and Del Porto Ristorante.
Tammany Taste of Summer also includes two special wine dinners. Annadele’s Plantation hosts a four-course wine dinner for $75 per person on Aug. 3. Restaurant Cote will also feature a wine dinner with a five-course mean on Aug. 24.
In addition to the restaurant deals, local hotels are offering special summer promotions and discounted rates for those who want to dinner a dinner date into a full weekend staycation.
