Oscar Mayer Wienermobile rolling to North Shore and South Shore: See dates, locations

The iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will roll around the New Orleans metro this month, representatives from Oscar Mayer announced. The giant hot dog will make several stops on the North Shore and South Shore.

Fans are invited to snap fun photos with the Wienermobile and get their very own Wiener Whistle.

Metairie

Date: Monday, Nov. 12
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Rouse’s  2900 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA

Kenner

Date: Saturday, Nov. 17
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Touch-a-Truck 4545 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA

Covington

Date: Sunday, Nov. 18
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Rouse’s 13330 Highway 1085, Covington, LA

New Orleans

Date: Monday, Nov. 19
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Rouse’s 400 N. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans, LA

Metairie

Date: Thursday, Nov. 29
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Rouses 717 Clearview Pkwy, Metairie, LA

The first Wienermobile was built in 1936. The 27-foot-long vehicle is a custom-made fiberglass hot dog and bun. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile cruises an average of 500 miles per week.
