The laid back bar takes care of sports fans with plenty of flat screens to go around. The Riverbend staple also has an extensive beer selection and a great oyster deal on Tuesdays. Get half-priced raw Louisiana oysters shucked on the half shell after 3 p.m.
Slurp on Captain Johnny’s raw oysters at Elysian Oyster Bar inside St. Roch Market. Head to their happy hour on Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and also daily from 9 p.m. to close. Scoop up six oysters for $6.
The Emeril Lagasse spin-off on St. Charles Avenue offers a daily happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can score 99-cent charbroiled oysters. While you’re there, you can also enjoy $5 small plates, half-priced wines by the glass and select bottles and half-prices speciality and well cocktails. That’s a win-win for everyone.
Head to Harahan for this causal, family Cajun and Creole seafood spot. Heads and Tails Seafood and Oyster Bar features a great happy hour on Mondays to Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Here’s what all you can score: Raw oysters on the half shell for 75 cents and charbroiled oysters for 99 cents. Wash that down with select wines for $5, $3 Bud Light and Abita Amber pint drafts and more drink deals all part of the happy hour.
Hit the Avenue for Superior Seafood’s happy hour featuring 50-cent raw oysters. Along with the oysters you can get two for one frozen Mojitos and other drink specials. Get these deals daily from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Down in “Da Parish” MeMe’s dishes out an oyster happy hour worthy of checking out on Tuesdays through Fridays. The spot’s happy hour menu features 50-cent raw oysters and 99-cent specialty oysters, which includes chargrilled, Rockefeller, bacon and blue and Bangkok –which dresses oysters in a spicy Asian red chile sauce. These deals are offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Oysters with a view sounds nice, right? Take in the sights of Lake Pontchartrain while getting a deal at the same time. On Tuesdays to Fridays, get 60-cent raw oysters and chargrilled oysters for $1 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
