As the COVID-19 crisis drags on, many are starting to see food shortages at their local grocery stores.
To help with the food shortage, Panera has stepped up to help by launching the Panera Grocery this week.
Customers will be able to go online or use the Panera app to order ingredients like bread, milk, fruits and vegetables along with their favorite soups, sandwiches and salads.
Panera is also offering contactless ways to get the items through delivery, Rapid Pick-Up, drive-up and drive-thru options. Contact-free delivery is also available through Grubhub.
Just select “Panera Grocery” in the Panera app or on the website, or find the “Panera Grocery” items on Grubhub, and add the items to your order.
“From limited choices on grocery store shelves to the growing need to limit the number of trips outside of the home, it is an incredibly stressful time when it comes to putting wholesome food on the table and we knew Panera could help,” says CEO Niren Chaudhary. “With this new service we can help deliver good food and fresh ingredients from our pantry to yours, helping provide better access to essential items that are increasingly harder to come by.”
Other restaurants, such as Texas Roadhouse, are also looking to offer ingredients to customers.
