Parkway’s iconic Thanksgiving po-boy includes turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce topped on french bread.

The special holiday menu item, served on Wednesdays in November, usually draws a line down the block for the fan-favorite sandwich. This year, the special sandwich will be served on Nov. 3, 10, 17 and 24.

Since manager Justin Kennedy launched the sandwich in 2007, the famous sandwich has attracted a cult following. Parkway Bakery & Tavern in New Orleans already has its own passionate following thanks to the restaurant’s hearty, delicious “poor boys.”

Parkway Bakery also teams up with the Al Copeland Foundation to allow some diners to skip the line for the popular Thanksgiving Poboy for a good cause. The neighborhood po-boy shop will say thanks to diners who make a $100 donation to the Al Copeland Foundation for the charitable campaign #IDidItForTheTurkey.

The contribution gets you a monster Thanksgiving po-boy, an order of sweet potato fries, one drink, one Faubourg Brewery seasonal beer and the privilege to skip the line.

For more information, visit Parkway’s Facebook page and the Al Copeland Foundation website.
