‘Peep on a Perch’ is the Easter version of ‘Elf on the Shelf’

Push over “Elf,” there’s a new “Peep” in town.

Like the Christmas version, Peeps has taken the concept of “Elf on the Shelf” to bring best behavior into the Easter season with “Peep on a Perch.”

According to Delish, The Peeps’ set comes with a storybook meant to inspire good behavior in children and a plush toy to watch over them and serve as a reminder to behave well. The story explains to kids how Peep helps the Easter bunny decorate eggs and fill baskets each year. The idea is that kids will be more conscious of using good manners, helping around the house, and being kind to others. The more kindness the Peep sees, the happier it gets.

“Peep on a Perch” makes the perfect Easter gift for kids ages 3 to 7. At last checked, it was temporarily out of stock on Amazon.com but — going for $18.13 when you can get your hands on one. The toy and book doesn’t have a ton of reviews on Amazon yet, but nearly all who have purchased it gave it five stars.

If you’re not an online shopper, the toy can also be purchased in stores like Target and Barnes and Noble. Peep on a Perch is something that everyone in the family can enjoy and unlike Elf on the Shelf — the peep toy is meant to be played with, which the younger kids enjoy.
