Pokéworks coming to New Orleans

A new restaurant is coming to Lakeside Shopping Center soon.

Pokéworks is one of the fastest growing poke concepts in the food scene. Their first location is set to open this fall next to Sucré and Bravo! Cucina Italiana.

The restaurant boasts Hawaiian island themes, and introduced the poke burrito.

The menu is inspired by sustainable, seasonal and natural ingredients.  There will also be a “Poke Your Way” options where guests can build their own burrito, poke bowl or poke salad.

Protein selections range from fresh ahi tuna, salmon, albacore tuna, scallops, and shrimp, as well as sous vide chicken and organic tofu.

After selecting the base, guests can choose from a variety of Hawaiian-inspired mix-ins and toppings like masago, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, spicy furikake and sauces like umami shoyu, wasabi aioli, and spicy ginger.

Founded in 2015, Pokéworks was created with a vision to introduce a Hawaiian island favorite to the Mainland. A leader in the North American poke movement, Pokéworks Co-Founder Peter Yang was recently named as one of Forbes’ 2018 30 under 30 in the Food and Drink category. Pokéworks now boasts 18 locations in the U.S. and Canada and are expecting to reach 100 stores by 2020.
