Foodies looking for their Jazz Fest festival fix can feast on some of their favorite dishes at home.
After the recent Jazz Fest cancellation, some popular food vendors are thinking outside of the Fair Grounds to bring iconic dishes straight to fans.
Crawfish Monica maker Kajun Kettle Foods, known as Big River Foods at Jazz Fest, teams up with Caluda’s Cottage Catering, makers of crawfish strudel and white chocolate bread pudding for the pop-up.
They’re holding the pop-up together at Mahony’s Original Po-boys and Seafood location in the French Quarter at 901 Iberville Street, while it’s temporarily closed to normal business operations.
These pop-ups will take place over two weekends on Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 and Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3. Fans can get the festival favorites each day from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Vendors said dishes must be pre-ordered and pre-paid via the Cottage Catering website for drive-thru pickup only. Customers can give their name for the order, show their receipt and pick up from their car.

Food items will be packaged cold to heat up at home.
Crawfish Monica makers said they also made their items available in the frozen seafood section at your local Rouses Market or Langenstein’s. Make sure to contact your local grocer to find out if it’s in stock.
You can also purchase the Crawfish Monica kit or just the sauce straight from the Jazz Fest vendor’s website.
Patton’s Caterers, the Slidell catering company behind the beloved trio, said they will also offer their Jazz Fest staples to-go. The team announced a pop-up via Facebook on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.
Fans can scoop up crawfish sacks, oyster patties, crawfish beignets at the Slidell location, 127 Cleveland Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“As you’ve all heard by now, Jazz Fest 2020 was officially cancelled yesterday. We are obviously heartbroken, but understand why the decision was made. All we can do is move forward,” the vendor said in the Facebook post.
Pre-orders can be placed by e-mailing JazzFestToGo2020@pattons.com, along with a preferred pick-up time. Patton’s recently put together a list of frequently asked questions due to the high response.

Outside of the New Orleans area, if you’re willing to take a road trip, Prejean’s Restaurant in Lafayette is also serving to-go offerings of its beloved Jazz Fest items.
Owner Bob Guilbeau said he’s currently selling frozen pans of “Take & Bake” Crawfish Enchiladas and frozen two-gallon bags of his Jazz Fest gumbo. However, you have to purchase those items straight from the location.

Other food vendors also make it easy for people to get their hands on the real deal.
John Ed Laborde, the “Crawfish Bread Man,” is the man who created the popular dish festival-goers crave every year at the Fair Grounds. Nola Crawfish Bread ships year-round to anywhere in the U.S., Canada and United Kingdom.
The fine folks at Mrs. Wheat’s Foods distributes those Natchitoches meat pies to quite a few local stores around the New Orleans area — including Brother’s Food Marts. You can also get these bad boys shipped by visiting their online shop.
